The Revere Minutemen will venture away from home to take on the Barberton Magics at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Revere will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Revere needed a bit of extra time to put away Tallmadge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blue Devils, sneaking past 6-4. While the Minutemen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ashley Gardner spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Paige Kelley was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Sydney Firca also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Revere was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Barberton fell victim to Aurora and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Greenmen. The Magics have struggled against the Greenmen recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
Revere pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Barberton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Revere's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. The Minutemen have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Barberton, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Revere continue to outrun the ball?
Revere suffered a grim 9-3 defeat to Barberton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Minutemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
