Hough's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hopewell Titans  a   15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won nine matches by 11  runs or more  so far this season.
 Payton Elwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in February.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Reese Lavey, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in February.  Maylee Stroupe was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Hough  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 5.6  hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.6.
Hough pushed their record up to 12-2 with the  victory, which was their ninth straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hopewell, their  defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.
