In what's become a running theme this season, the South Plantation Paladins gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. Everything went their way against Hialeah Educational Academy as South Plantation made off with a 84-61 victory. The score was close at the half, but South Plantation pulled away in the second half with 56 points.
Harry Gelin was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Francis, who scored 14 points along with six assists and two steals.
South Plantation is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.
South Plantation will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Southridge at 1:00 p.m. on January 15th. Southridge is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hialeah at 7:00 p.m. Hialeah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Hialeah Educational Academy is ranked 46th).
