Valley View is 0-3 against Henrietta since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Meanwhile, Henrietta blew past S & S Consolidated, posting a 55-9 victory at home. Given Henrietta's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 448th, while S & S Consolidated is ranked 1118th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Garrett Blevins got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 129 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Fugett, who rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Callisburg's win bumped their season record to 5-4 while Valley View's loss dropped theirs to 2-7.
