Chapin is 1-9 against Irmo since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Chapin Eagles will be playing at home against the Irmo Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Chapin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Chapin beat Gray Collegiate Academy 37-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chapin.
Chapin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sami Stephenson out in front who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Stephenson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reagan Haggard, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Irmo came up short against Lexington on Wednesday and fell 47-35. Irmo has not had much luck with Lexington recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Their wins bumped Chapin to 4-2 and Gray Collegiate Academy to 2-3.
