Mountainside is a perfect 5-0 against Beaverton since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mavericks will welcome the Beavers at 7:00 p.m. Mountainside's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Mountainside fell victim to Jesuit and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Mountainside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Jesuit are ranked first).

Meanwhile, Beaverton strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They never let Southridge get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Considering Beaverton have won seven matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Beaverton's win bumped their record up to 9-0-1. As for Mountainside, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

Mountainside beat Beaverton by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-1. Do the Mavericks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Beavers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
