Softball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Overhills' Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Overhills won the last time they faced Westover and things went their way on Friday too. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 17-2 win. Considering the Jaguars have won seven matchups by more than 11 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Laila Daniel was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyn Houston, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Overhills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westover only posted an OBP of .316.

Overhills is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Westover, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.
