Softball Recap: Anderson Has No Trouble Against Mccallum

Anderson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against McCallum, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 18-5 victory on Friday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by 13 runs or more this season.

Kylie Grahmann was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Bella Patterson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Anderson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCallum only posted an OBP of .387.

The win made it two in a row for Anderson and bumps their season record up to 7-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 25.5 runs over those games. As for McCallum, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Anderson will take on rival Richards School for Young Women Leaders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are on a three-game streak of home losses, and Richards School for Young Women Leaders a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. McCallum is set to face off against their familiar foe Cedar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
