If The Meadows School Mustangs were riding high off their 57-18 takedown of the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Meadows School was dealt a 77-19 defeat at the hands of Palo Verde on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, The Meadows School couldn't push the score so high this time.
Tessa Lalanne was The Meadows School's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
The Meadows School has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Palo Verde, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
The Meadows School will play host again and welcome Boulder City, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Boulder City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Monday. Palo Verde won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. Democracy Prep Agassi Campus is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
