Hickory got themselves on the board against Oscar Smith on Tuesday, but Oscar Smith never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Hickory's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Oscar Smith, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coming up, Hickory will head out to take on King's Fork at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.7 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oscar Smith, they will host Maury at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Commodores have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
