Given Dixie's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Cedar is ranked 83rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dixie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyle Lemke led the charge by scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Lemke hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jordan Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 20 assists.
Dixie's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Cedar, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Dixie will be playing at home against Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crimson Cliffs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 496 points over their last seven matchups. As for Cedar, they will head out on the road to face off against Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hurricane is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
