The Edgewood Warriors put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 57-48 win over Geneva. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Edgewood also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Mckenna Vencill continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Katie Mccollister, who scored 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Edgewood's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Geneva, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will face off against Lakeside at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Geneva, they will head out on the road to square off against Harvey at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Harvey is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
