On Friday Lexington take on Concord-Carlisle at 6:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
Lexington had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 14-42 walloping at Brockton's hands. Lexington were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 8-28.
Meanwhile, Concord-Carlisle gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last week. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Oliver Ames 20-19.
Concord-Carlisle's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Lexington's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Concord-Carlisle's success rolls on or if Lexington are able to steal their positive momentum.
