Even though the Windsor Locks Raiders have not done well against the Canton Warriors recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Windsor Locks came out on top against Canton by a score of 69-60. Given Windsor Locks' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Canton is ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Sincere Monroe, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Hinckley, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Windsor Locks is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Canton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor Locks will take on Stafford at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Somers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Somers is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
