Will Paquette and Shane Christy did most of the damage at the plate: Paquette went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Christy went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Red Wolves. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 3, 2022, but that streak is no more.
Champ Rivera made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Rivera was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Wrigley Cox was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Eli Murphy was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Rocky Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.
Rocky Mountain pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for ThunderRidge, their record is now 7-16.
ThunderRidge came up short against Rocky Mountain in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 5-0. Can the Grizzlies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
