The Manteo Redskins will challenge the Princess Anne Cavaliers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manteo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Manteo's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Pasquotank County 9-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

Trevor Sawyer tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Manteo got a massive performance out of Drew Brown, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Tanner Sawyer, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
Manteo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pasquotank County only managed one hit.
Meanwhile, Princess Anne sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Tallwood on Thursday. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Walt Clevenger looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Reid Vandergrift was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Xavier Doon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Princess Anne's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Manteo, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Manteo has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Princess Anne struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Manteo skirted past Princess Anne 3-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Do the Redskins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
