Highland waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took their game with ease, bagging a 56-26 victory over the Wakefield School Fighting Owls. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 27 points or more this season.

Wakefield School lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Meira Barnaby, who posted seven points along with seven boards and four blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Leilani Greene, who earned seven points.

Highland's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.7 points over those games. As for Wakefield School, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.

Highland has already played their next match, a 59-28 defeat against Virginia Episcopal School on the 25th. As for Wakefield School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 41-22 victory against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot on the 25th.
