Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Mountain House Mustangs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Roseville by a score of 30-27. Mountain House has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Mountain House lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Amare Brooks. Despite the final result, he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 164 yards and a touchdown.
Roseville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joel Bradley, who picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Roseville also got a significant boost from Aaron Salas, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.
Mountain House's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Roseville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Mountain House does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Roseville will head out on the road to face off against Vanden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vanden is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
