After two games on the road, Jesuit is heading back home. They will take on The Lake Oswego Lakers at 0:01 a.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Jesuit is ranked 14th, while Lake Oswego is ranked tenth).
Jesuit can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 58-0 win over Beaverton. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Jesuit had established a 51 point advantage.
Lonnie Burt had a dynamite game for Jesuit, rushing for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Burt was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards. Another player making a difference was Julius Christensen, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, Lake Oswego suffered a rough 27-7 loss at the hands of Lakeridge on Friday.
Jesuit's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-4. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48.33 points. As for Lake Oswego, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Jesuit beat Lake Oswego 56-49 when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Will Jesuit repeat their success, or does Lake Oswego have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
