After losing to the Lake Minneola Hawks the last time they met, the Zephyrhills Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Zephyrhills managed a 58-52 win over Lake Minneola on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Zephyrhills.
Despite the loss, Lake Minneola still got an impressive performance from Ethan Isom, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Colbert, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Zephyrhills has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Lake Minneola, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Zephyrhills won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Lake Minneola, they will head out on the road to challenge Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orlando Christian Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Minneola in Florida (Orlando Christian Prep is ranked 12th, while Lake Minneola is ranked 190th).
