Shoshoni lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaylor McConnaughey, who scored eight points along with six assists and four steals. McConnaughey hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Brenna Metzler was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Shoshoni dropped their record down to 6-9 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Shoshoni will be playing at home against the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverside, they will head out on the road to square off against the Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Wyoming (Big Horn is ranked 51st, while the Rebels are ranked 43rd).
