Steinbrenner found their leader in sophomore Sarah Coble, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Coble is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Breanna Hartley was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bloomingdale blew past Armwood, posting a 58-16 win. The Bulls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 38 points or more this season.
Bloomingdale's win came from a few key players Steinbrenner will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Noelle Mengel, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 17 points along with five boards and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Jayla Griffin, who went 6 for 8 en route to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
Steinbrenner's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 50.7 points. As for Bloomingdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Steinbrenner and Bloomingdale are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Steinbrenner hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 66.1 points per game. However, it's not like Bloomingdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 66.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
