After losing to the Cane Bay Cobras the last time they met, the Goose Creek Gators decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Goose Creek came out on top against Cane Bay by a score of 34-24 on Thursday. That's two games straight that Goose Creek has won by exactly ten points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Goose Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tylar Griffin, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Griffin pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Demi Gray, who scored nine points.
Goose Creek has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Cane Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-18.
Goose Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cane Bay, they will head out on the road to square off against Dutch Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dutch Fork will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Cane Bay surely won't give up without a fight.
