The Douglas Tigers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Blackstone-Millville Chargers  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Douglas will be strutting in after a  win while Blackstone-Millville will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Having struggled with four  losses in a row, Douglas finally turned things around against Sutton  on Friday. They came out on top against the Sammies by a score of  3-1.
 Douglas had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-21, 25-16,  25-23.
 Douglas got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Taylor Smith out in front who  had 16  kills and three  aces. Smith is  on a roll when it comes to  kills, as she's  now  had seven or more in the last 16 games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kylie Squier, who  had seven  kills, five  aces,  and three  digs.
 She wasn't the only good server: Douglas  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 17  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least eight  aces in three consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Blackstone-Millville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They fell just short of Burncoat by a score of  3-2. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots  25-19 in the first  set.
 Blackstone-Millville took Burncoat into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-13, 25-18, 20-25,  15-5.
 Douglas' win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-7. As for Blackstone-Millville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
 Douglas beat Blackstone-Millville 3-1  in their previous meeting  back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for Douglas since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
