The Loomis Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Axtell Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Axtell took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Loomis, who comes in off a win.
Loomis is headed out to face Axtell after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Loomis simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Blue Hill 48-6 at home.
Loomis found their leader in underclassman Jace Schukar, who rushed for 203 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 41 receiving yards. Schukar's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. Jaxson Sweeney was another key player, rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Loomis wouldn't let Blue Hill keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Loomis can thank Walter Kenney and Tyson Freeman for forcing both of them. Kenney's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making three total tackles.
Meanwhile, Axtell had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 60-36 to Overton on Friday. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Wildcats struggled afterwards.
