Unioto is 9-1 against Southeastern since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Both teams will face off at 7:15 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Unioto focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday.
On Saturday, things could have been worse for Unioto, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-46 loss to Jackson.
Despite the defeat, Unioto had strong showings from K.B. Perkins, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three blocks, and Blake Fitch, who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Perkins posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Newton Hoops, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Southeastern scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Alexander as Southeastern made off with a 56-33 victory. That looming 56-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Southeastern yet this season.
Unioto now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Southeastern, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Unioto took their win against Southeastern in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 80-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Unioto since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
