The Patterson Clippers pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 86-58 loss at the hands of Calvert Hall. Patterson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Calvert Hall apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.
Brendan Johnson was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds and three steals for Calvert Hall. The contest was Johnson's 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Moore, who scored 16 points.
Patterson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Calvert Hall, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Patterson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Benjamin Franklin on January 4, 2024. Benjamin Franklin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Patterson in Maryland (Benjamin Franklin is ranked 40th, while Patterson is ranked 151st). As for Calvert Hall, they will head out on the road to face off against Pallotti at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
