The Permian Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Frenship Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Permian kept a clean sheet against Midland Legacy. They came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back wins for Permian.
Meanwhile, Frenship put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Midland. Frenship's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.
They hit Midland with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Zeta McDannels (2),
Allie Hinojosa (2), and
Mia Chambliss.
Permian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record this season. As for Frenship, their win bumped their record up to 8-0-4.
Permian came up short against Frenship in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Permian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
