The Eau Claire Shamrocks will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Columbia Capitals at 7:30 p.m. Eau Claire will be strutting in after a win while the Capitals will be coming in after a defeat.
Eau Claire fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over Fairfield Central on Friday.
Eau Claire had a senior duo take command as Asa Price scored 18 points and Aric Hicks scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hicks has scored all season. Aden Price was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Columbia played against the War Eagles and lost via forfeit.
Eau Claire's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Columbia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Eau Claire came up short against the Capitals in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 60-56. Can Eau Claire avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
