In what's become a running theme this season, the Pikesville Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 79-33 victory over Patapsco. Winning may never get old, but Pikesville sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Pikesville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mariah Jones-Bey, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 assists. Another player making a difference was Bree Taylor, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Patapsco lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ania Evans, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Pikesville pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.6 points. As for Patapsco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Pikesville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carver A&T at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Carver A&T focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Wednesday. As for Patapsco, they will head out on the road to face off against Dulaney at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Dulaney will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
