The Quaker Valley Quakers came into Monday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Shenango with a 60-56 win on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Quaker Valley found their leader in underclassman Zach Washington, who scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Coyle, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
The victory got Quaker Valley back to even at 11-11. As for Shenango, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.
Quaker Valley will head out on the road to challenge Uniontown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Uniontown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 508 points over their last seven contests. Shenango does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
