Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Maye Came Up Big in Anson's 38-0 Victory
Starting off the list is Anson's Kendrick Maye, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Maye rushed for 81 yards and three touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.
Maye must have Parkwood's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Maye saw the Wolf Pack), he rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Gamescore: 36.87
Jazear Griffin Makes It Two for Anson
Keeping Maye company is Jazear Griffin, a fellow Anson player. He rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Parkwood, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Griffin. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Griffin saw the Wolf Pack), he rushed for 258 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown.

A Constellation of Stars for Anson
Another Anson player making an appearance on this list is Jayden Little. He picked up 77 receiving yards, and also threw for five yards and a touchdown.
For the season, Little has averaged 66.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 32 receiving yards per game.

Cooper Wise Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Cooper Wise posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Piedmont over West Stanly on Friday. Wise picked up 134 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 79 yards.
Piedmont's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers dukes it out withAnson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
