Waupun is 8-2 against Ripon since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 4:45 p.m. Waupun will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Monday, Waupun got the win against Mayville by a conclusive 13-5. Considering the Warriors have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Landon Richter was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Richter was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Logan Prall and Bryant Ferris did most of the damage at the plate: Prall went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Ferris went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Prall a new career-high. Landon Derksen was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Waupun kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Ripon posted their closest win since April 30, 2024 on Thursday. They came out on top against Winneconne by a score of 3-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Like Waupun, Ripon also got a great game from a two-way player: Coy DeVries. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Ripon is 2-1 when DeVries posts eight or more strikeouts, but 1-6 otherwise. DeVries was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one double. That double was his first of the season.
DeVries wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Shay Otto, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Otto has hit this season.
Waupun's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ripon, their record now sits at 3-7.
Waupun's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Ripon, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Waupun continue to outrun the ball?
Waupun beat Ripon 6-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
