Mojave extended the longest winning streak in 8-Man Freelance (8 Man) this week by beating Ocean View Christian, 57-32. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Mustangs.
Pacific Lutheran took down Lighthouse Christian 56-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Calvary Chapel's Nathan Jewell and Zechariah Laidlaw have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jewell has thrown for 1675 yards this season, while Laidlaw, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 35 catches for 622 yards. Robert Reed from Orcutt Academy leads the league in rushing with 625 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Saints take on the Grizzlies. At the moment, Lighthouse Christian is in eighth, while Calvary Chapel is in second.
The Stingrays made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 661 from 741. The improvement came about via a 56-6 victory over Justin Kayne's team last week.
