 Grant Sunstrom spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on three hits and racked up seven Ks. Furthermore,  he didn't allow a single  earned run, the first time  he has blanked an opponent  over his last five  contests.
 On the hitting side,  Lane Mixon was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaris Hamilton, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
University Lab's record is now 13-7. As for St. Michael, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Lab will square off against Catholic - N.I. at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for St. Michael, they will face off against West Feliciana at 6:15  p.m.  on Thursday. This will  be West Feliciana's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
