It was fun while it lasted, but Crest Ridge's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Wednesday. They received a blow as they fell 48-34 to the St. Paul Lutheran Saints. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rae McDonald, who posted four points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gracyn Vanwey, who had five points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Crest Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Having lost for the first time this season, Crest Ridge fell to 4-1. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Crest Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-56 win against Concordia on the 14th. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-22 loss against Lone Jack on the 14th.
