The Denver Academy Mustangs suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Denver Christian, falling 88-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Denver Academy has scored all season.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nolan Monasch, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Riley Allen, who scored eight points.
Denver Academy are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. As for Denver Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denver Academy will challenge Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rocky Mountain Lutheran has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28. As for Denver Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against SkyView Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. SkyView Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
