The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs will square off against the Carolina Forest Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Carolina Forest will be up against a hot North Myrtle Beach team: the squad just extended their winning streak to seven. North Myrtle Beach put the hurt on Socastee with a sharp 17-1 victory on Friday. With that win, the Chiefs brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Noah Nance looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabe Priest, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Smith, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
North Myrtle Beach always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carolina Forest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand St. James a 9-0 shutout on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
The result came thanks to Parker Reavis's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Jackson Meyers was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Gatlin Pasco was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Carolina Forest's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for North Myrtle Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. North Myrtle Beach has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Carolina Forest struggles in that department as they've averaged .452. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Myrtle Beach took their win against Carolina Forest in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Does North Myrtle Beach have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carolina Forest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
