On Friday, Eastland Christian suffered a tough 49-27 loss at the hands of Elite Prep Academy.
It was another big night for Jahmani Salomon, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds for Elite Prep Academy. Salomon set a new season high mark in blocks with three. Another player making a difference was Deontae Givens-West, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Eastland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Elite Prep Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Eastland Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Family Christian Academy on January 23, 2024. Elite Prep Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Cornerstone Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Cornerstone Charter Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
