The Chattanooga Prep Sentinels's road trip will continue as they head out to face the East Ridge Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Chattanooga Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully East Ridge likes a good challenge.
Chattanooga Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against East Hamilton on Thursday as Chattanooga Prep made off with a 62-41 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-18.
Chattanooga Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was De'Andre Turnbow, who scored 15 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Ta'Suade Williams was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, East Ridge beat Hixson 53-47 on Tuesday. The victory was just what East Ridge needed coming off of a 70-38 defeat in their prior game.
Chattanooga Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for East Ridge, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Chattanooga Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against East Ridge in their previous matchup back in November, but they still walked away with a 54-48 win. Will Chattanooga Prep repeat their success, or does East Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
