Bloomington North walked away with a 57-47 win over Edgewood on Tuesday. Given Bloomington North's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Edgewood is ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bloomington North's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mia Robbennolt, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Robbennolt hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Robbennolt, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Edgewood saw an underclassman step up: Macey Crider scored 17 points. Allison Bland was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Bloomington North is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Edgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Bloomington North will head out on the road to face off against Terre Haute North Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edgewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Martinsville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Martinsville is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
