The Delran Bears suffered their biggest defeat since December 22, 2023 on Monday. They were outmatched by Trenton Catholic Academy at home and fell 77-17. Delran was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.
It was another big night for Saniyah Spell, who scored 21 points along with five steals for Trenton Catholic Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Mayah Alford, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Delran and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Delran's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Northern Burlington at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. Northern Burlington is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Trenton Catholic Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Joseph-by-the-Sea at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th.
