The Forrest County Agricultural Aggies will head out on the road to face off against the Northeast Jones Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Forrest County Agricultural's game on Thursday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell to Lawrence County 36-31. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite their defeat, Forrest County Agricultural saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Omarion Reed, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Csaszar, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Northeast Jones fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 10-9 win over Mendenhall.
Lawrence County's victory bumped their season record to 5-5 while Forrest County Agricultural's defeat dropped theirs to 5-4.
Everything went Forrest County Agricultural's way against Northeast Jones when the teams last played back in September of 2020 as Forrest County Agricultural made off with a 31-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forrest County Agricultural since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
