Basketball Recap: Hope Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Hope Academy had lost three straight headed into Saturday's matchup, but Domiya Foreman didn't let it get to four. The Hope Academy Trojan Tigers put the hurt on the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave with a sharp 61-40 win on Saturday thanks in part to Foreman, who went 12 of 20 on her way to 31 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hope Academy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Crystlin Smith, who posted seven points and six rebounds. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Hope Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for P.K. Yonge, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Hope Academy will take on South Sumter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for P.K. Yonge, they will head out to face off against Eastside at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
