Nipmuc Regional put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season  on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sutton Sammies  a   12-0 shutout. With that  victory, Nipmuc Regional brought their scoring average up to 6.4  runs per game.
  Cam Allen tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Anthony Ruggiero, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Sean Burchard was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Nipmuc Regional's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Sutton, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with that  loss, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Nipmuc Regional will  square off against Framingham at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Sutton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopedale at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
