Basketball Recap: Eastern Greene's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Eastern Greene had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Pike Central Chargers 51-28 on Friday. The Thunderbirds pushed the score to 41-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chargers cut but never quite recovered from.

Eastern Greene's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Coby Sykes, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyan Hudson, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points and seven assists.

Pike Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jiles Mason, who posted ten points and eight rebounds, and Nate Davis, who put up eight points.

Eastern Greene wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-36 win against Vincennes Rivet on the 21st.
