Daphne extended their  winning streak to eight games  thanks to a huge performance from  Abby Johnson. The Trojans came within six  points of losing the streak, but they secured  an   18-12 W against the Dothan Wolves thanks in part to  Johnson, who picked up 103 receiving yards and two  touchdowns. She also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making one tackle and defending four passes in addition to snagging  two  interceptions.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Daphne's defense and their five sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Kaylee Shabel.
Daphne's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Dothan,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-3.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Daphne will  face off against  rival Fairhope  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dothan is set to  take on  their familiar foe Enterprise  at 6:00  p.m.  on October 2. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Wolves 9.5, the Wildcats 5.7) so any  points scored will be well earned.
