Scott is 0-7 against Dixie Heights since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Scott Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Dixie Heights Colonels at 6:00 p.m. Scott has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 577 points over their last eight matches.
Scott pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-55 bruising from Mason County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Scott has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Scott got a solid performance out of Xarek Sarakatsannis, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Sarakatsannis' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jon Evans, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Dixie Heights was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Bracken County 74-37 on the road. That looming 74-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Dixie Heights yet this season.
Scott's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3. As for Dixie Heights, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
Scott came up short against Dixie Heights in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 58-47. Can Scott avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
