4A Region III District 24 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Dawson extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region III District 24 this week by beating Friendswood, 42-33. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Eagles.
Friendswood's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Wood has thrown for 649 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Michael Montalvo has eight catches for 178 yards. Wood also leads the league in rushing with 1197 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lee takes on the Mustangs. The Ganders are currently in fourth, while Friendswood is in third.
Texas City led 4A Region III District 24 in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Galena Park.
