Pickens has gone a perfect 7-0 against Seneca recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Flame will square off against the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Pickens will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Pickens is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Daniel, who was ranked 16th at the time (Pickens was ranked fifth). The Blue Flame came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.
The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-17, 25-18.

Lily Clarkson and Chesney Yates were among the main playmakers for Pickens as the former hit 52.2% for 12 kills and 14 digs and four aces and the latter had 21 digs, 11 kills, and two aces. What's more, Clarkson racked up 32 assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. Laney Sitterle also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Pickens was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Seneca didn't have quite enough to beat Greer on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Seneca wouldn't go down easily and took Greer into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 16-25, 21-25, 15-5.
Pickens' victory bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Seneca, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
Everything went Pickens' way against Seneca in their previous meeting back in September, as Pickens made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Flame since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
